1. What we collect

When you use Crameleon, we may collect:

• Account information (email address, name) when you sign in with Google
• Course information you enter (university, program, course name)
• Files you upload to generate exams (temporarily stored for processing)
• Usage data such as number of generations and messages
• Billing information processed securely through Stripe - we never see your card details

2. How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Generate practice exams and solutions using AI
• Save your generation history (Pro users)
• Manage your subscription and billing
• Improve the quality of exam generation over time
• Send important service-related communications

3. Uploaded files

Files you upload are used solely to generate your practice exam. They are stored temporarily in Firebase Storage and are not used to train AI models or shared with third parties. You can delete your uploaded files at any time from your dashboard.

4. AI data disclosure

Crameleon uses third-party AI services to generate practice exams and study-helper responses. When you generate an exam or use the study helper, the following data may be sent to AI providers:

• What is sent: Your course materials (uploaded files, course name, program details, and any extra context you provide)
• AI providers: Anthropic (Claude) for premium-tier exam generation and review; DeepSeek for standard-tier generation, solutions, and study-helper chat
• Purpose: Generating practice exam questions and step-by-step solutions tailored to your course
• Retention: Your materials are processed in real time and are not stored by the AI providers after generation is complete
• Your rights: You can request deletion of all your data at any time from your account settings or by contacting us

5. Third-party services

Crameleon uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) - authentication and file storage
• Anthropic (Claude) - AI-powered exam generation and review
• DeepSeek - AI-powered study chat and standard-tier generation
• Stripe - payment processing
• Railway - database and application hosting

6. Data retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. Free users' generation data is not saved between sessions. Pro users' history is retained until account deletion. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Cookies

We use minimal cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
